Prayers Appreciated

It turns out that the diagnosis is for the least horrible of the possibilities.  This is a very good thing, becauses it keeps my girlfriend from being distraught, which makes me feel very guy-ey, and unable to deal with the whole distraught girlfriend thing, and also of course for her son, who is no longer looking forward to walking around lopsided like Lance Armstrong (who, by the way, can ride a bicycle past anyone else on the planet, while representing the U S Post Office (makes me laugh every time I think of it - USPO sponsering a racing team?), and having only one ball.
Thanks for the good wishes and prayers you shy people who don't comment - sitemeter tells me you're there, and I love you all.
