Ouside the Statistics

I'm not really unemployed. I got laid off of my job due to lack of demand for the product ( anyone want to buy a museum?) about a year ago.

I waited too long to apply for benefits, therefore my income (nonexistent) for the past 6 months does bit qualify me for Unemployment Insurance Coverage.

Stinkin' Pride kept me from going and latching onto the public teat, and now when I really could use some help I'm told that I don't qualify, 'cuz I've waited too long to apply.

This means that I'm not really unemployed, 'cuz I'm not receiving benefits.

I'm not the only one.

The "Unemployment" is the number of folks RECEIVING BENEFITS. Not the same thing at all.
